Default ? bout 2002 GT

Hello, I'm new to this board. I've got a freind who's going to buy a 2002 Mustang GT soon, and is wondering what the best optoins to get from the factory for speed. Mostly 1/4 mile and off the line.

Stuff like the best gears, tires, any other options(SVT exhuast, cams, intake ect). For example, can you buy any Ford high performance parts from the dealer, have them install them, and have it financed w/the car and covered factory warranty? Tanks for any info.

The best options is to get NO options. Leather and MACH Sound systems just add weight. There aren't any 'speed' options other than not ordering stuff to save weight. The only thing you can get that will make a significant difference is a 5-Speed instead of the auto. Besides automatic transmission is an $800 option on new GT's.
