99 Cobra motor in a fox body
I looked into the same thing a few months ago for my 2000 GT. I found a brand new Cobra 4.6L motor in an ad in Mustang and Ford Trader magazine for I THINK around $3,299. The only problem was is that they wanted your old 4.6 32 valve back for that price and guess what?, I don't have a 32 valve Cobra motor to give them back! Why not just put a 347 stroker in it? It's alot cheaper and I think it puts out more HP than the Cobra, but don't quote me.

www.deviant-racing.com Or you can call him at ProPower. The swap isn't that difficult to perform. An engine swap harness is available from Creative Performance Racing. Contact Goran and talk to him. All you'll need is the computer for a '96-98 Cobra, the harness from Goran, a K-Member and either shorty headers or modified long tubes. You'll need a chip to turn off the PATS system in the computer but that's not a big deal. Depending on what drivetrain you have, there may be some things to change there. Shoot me an email and I'll put you in touch with several racers who ran the Mod/Fox combo last year in FFW Mod Motor class. You can also go to the FFW board and post this in the Mod Motor section. Lots of help over there. In stock form the Cobra engine should give you easy mid 12's. They really like the fox chassis.
