Result of my GT VS friend LS1!
I posted earlyer this week that a friend with a 98 LS1 Z six speed wanted to race me. Well Not so good. We went from a roll 15 to about 120. I was so way back that it was impossible for me to count. If i was to guess i would say more than 10 cars!!
What horsepower do you think he is making at the rear weel?? His mods are a SLP induction lid, Hooker cat-back, FTRA(Ram air system) FRA (Another ram air system) and K&N. He is a very cool guy, he did not teased me or anything. If fact he confessed that my Mustang was better looking than his Z!

I have stock seen/heard LS1's dyno anywhere between 285-300, and sometimes up to 310+ rwhp. If he can drive, he could proably hit 13.1-ish.

Another thing to consider is their torque band. Even in the 2500rpm range they're making good torque. You would've had a much better chance going from a dead stop.

FTRA and FRA
FTRA = Fast Toys Ram Air
FRA = Free Ram Air Free Ram Air is a mod where you cut a slit out in between the radiator and the the radiator cover underneath the air lid. When this person added the Fast Toy Ram Air is just a scoop that goes under the car and pushes air into the lid of his intake. Its an alternative to real ram air through a hood. Some say its more effective also. CMC
