I think the only big plans for the mustang in 2003 are the Cobra and the Mach 1. The GT should remain fairly unchanged, atleast I've heard nothing. The big change will be in 2004 with the 2005 Mustang. New Chasis, new body and increase in HP.

There are a couple, but nothing official. You can probably do a search for the 2004 Mustang in The lounge and find the thread that had all the pics.

2003 will see the 390HP Cobra which is already hitting the streets.
The dealer sold one out from under me last week, figure on paying full MSRP for it the coupe is 34,700.00 and some change. FastFords tested one of these cars and states that ford choked down the intake and exhaust systems in order to meet noise regulations due to the 112 cubic inch blower, they said that simply by removing the air intake box they gained an instant 19 horsepower and figured with a catback exhaust,a chip and some minor tweeks would easily pump out 450 HP. The Mach 1 production has been placed in a hold status until late october everyone is guessing.I ordered one and am getting it for 28,445.00 minus a rebate that my dealer agreed on which should only apply to the GT,But figure on giving close to MSRP on these as well because they are a one year only limited edition.Horse power is rumored to be around 320-325,2 options are available they are the code 18G interior upgrade and automatic or 5 speed manual transmission, and of course exterior color. 2004 will see the one year only production of the Boss 302 which is rumored to have a newly designed 5.0 Litre Modular engine and probably the functional ram air that the MACH 1 has. MSRP on the MACH 1 is 29,200 and some change. 2005 the mustang is slated to get a complete reworking. You can see the MACH 1 here.... http://www.mach1registry.com/ |
