Default Price on 03 Cobra

Anyone in here looked at a local dealer for an exact price on the 2003 Cobra... I just went to our local SVT Dealer in this area to look, since we only get one or two... They have a Black Coupe that has a sticker on it for 34,700.00 , but that isn't the price. This local dealer tacked on a 7,000.00 Administrative Charge to it(cough cough BS!)... They refuse to sell for less than 41,000.00 on this car, they have turned several people away from this car.... What a total rip off, no way in hell I would spend 41,000.00 on a Cobra.. I would just do a few mods to mine, spend about 1/4 the price and eat that Cobra's lunch.. Anyways, any of you other people see this?

Same here in TN dude. I planned on getting one with my X plan discount and other incentives. NO X plan would be excepted or any price negotiations. The price started at about 35K with a 3 grand dealer cost and a 1K gasguzzler type tax plus taxes etc brought it to about 40 to 41K. Sorry but I cant go that much! It's a bad asz car but add on the unreal insurance and WOW you gotta have the bucks.

Ford should watch for this kind of stuff. I guess "market value" has got to come into play here, but I it sure sucks, that's for sure.

If I was going to spend that kinda of money on a new car, it wouldn't be on an SVT Stang.... I would get the new Steeda Q400-R, that car is sweet..... Has everything the Cobra has and more, with better looks, and a 25Gallon Fuel Cell... (prob needs it too)...

Many dealerships have put them on eBay (including the engine alone). They sell between 36 - 40k.

There is a dealer out here where you can get the car for sticker. It's just a matter of SVT dealers having competition, or not. If I had the only one for 400 miles, you know I wouldn't sell it for sticker.

Sounds like folks should spend a little money (a whole lot less the #4k to $7k) on a great vacation in Jacksonville, FL and go to Mike Davidson to pick up a Cobra. The've made me the same offer as Coolie and will do one for sticker and maybe a little less.
