Default stroker power

what kind of gains would one get from a stroker setup?

also, if I stroked the GT would that make Turbo Charging it impossible, or just more power on top of power.

On your 4.6 GT?

I'm under the impression that one could only get maybe 10 in^3 increase in displacement. I think there are easier ways to get power than that.

You can stroke a 4.6 to atleast 5.0 liters that I know of - they do it at SHM.

well, I know SHM can do 5.2 on a longblock...... bu that is besides the point.... and I plan on turbo charging it, but wanted to get more power than just the TC call me greedy.

If you want to know what kind of gains you will see, then the stroked displacement is definitely not beside the point - more cubes is more torque.

Like any other mod, increasing the CuI. of the engine will net you some more power, but how much more depends on your setup. If you do nothing to the intake/exhaust then you will see marginal gains, if you do head work and intake porting you will see more, couple that with good headers and good TB/MAF and you'll see even more... When it comes down to it, the combustion engine is nothing more than a sophisticate air pump... more air in = more power out.

I do plan on turbo charging it, just trying to hammer out a longlock with stroker kit, or just a shortblock.
