where to find a "body in white" stang
my college Rose Hulman has a motorsports club in which i recently joined because I found out at the end of last year that this school year we will be building a drag car. Been to the first 2 meetings and we are pretty much set on buying an 87-93LX, probably a 4cyl and putting in a 347/C4 with a built 8.8" rear.
Anyway, we went out looking for a car today, and I had an idea, since it will be a drag car ONLY, why dont we look into getting a body in white mustang. I've heard of these going for very cheap, and we would love to build one up. So where do I/we look for one, and what price range are we looking at? Kevin Price, didn't you buy one? Any help for me? thanks guys/gals

Not for sure on where you could get a body in white at. Try looking for a chassis shop somewhere close in your area and talk with them. They might be able to tell you something. The one down where I'm at sells them or can build you a complete car if you want.
Oh yeah, try stangparts.com They might have some info too or something. Just my two 1/2 cents. Dan. |

The place to get a Body-in-White is Roush Peformance located in Livonia, Michigan. I believe I paid $1600 for the car, front and rear bumper, and all trim pieces.
You can buy these elsewhere but EVERYONE buys from Roush, they simply mark them up, usually about $1000. For $1000 a decided to drive from Kansas to Michigan. Anyway, call Russ at 1-800-59roush. Their website is www.roushperf.com Good luck and let me know if you have questions.
