2003 Mach 1?
Has anybody heard any good or bad things about the 2003 mach 1 mustang? Girlfriends looking at buying one and I haven't been keeping up on the new mustangs. Thanks for any info.

I have not heard anything bad. It will not be faster than the cobra. I am sure it will be a good collactors item one day.

I can't wait for that car to come out, it will be awsome. I would love to get my hands on one. It won't be as fast as the cobra but it will be one of a kind. The Shaker hood scoop with functional ram air is what turns me on. But I think that I'm obsessed with ram air. I am trying to figure out how to hook up some ram air to my intercooled blower, I know it doesn't make any since but like I said, I'm obsessed with ram air. I would trade my car in for it if I didn't spend about $6000 in mods on it, and bought it less than a year ago, oh well, I still love my car. I hope someone that I'm close to gets a mach I. I would love to ride in that car. Sorry for rambling so much, that Mach I just gets me really excited.

It is a better version of the 01' when it comes to engine.. Has better heads and the Shaker... Only down fall is the Stick Axle..

Advantage ..... down fall.
Point is, we have a choice. If you wanted a DOHC with a straight axle. You got it. |

In the hands of a good driver IRS can launch every bit as good as a live axle.
I can pull 2.0X 60 fts absolutely bone stock. The only advantage the mach1 will have over the 99-01 cobra is lower gears. JMO,

you dont have to worry about breaking half shafts with a live axle compared to irs.

I am talking about stock vs. stock I know people pulling 1.6 60fts for over a year with the IRS.
BTW I have seen plenty of axles break as well. Sure I would rather have a live axle but I have whooped many saleen's and suped up GT's at the track with my wimpy IRS cobra. My buddy that has a 96 cobra shattered his rearend on street tires racing an LS-1 last weekend. I pull better 60ft's in my cobra bone stock than I do in my 5.0 on street tires and it has suspension mods. JMO, but I guess I might be a little biased,

Thanks for your comment, But driving 400+ HP around probably doesn't even compare to the way that smurf feels on your avatar. Where did you find that?
