I have the Art Carr shift improvement kit in my 4r70w. It is the same as the AODE kits. My Art Carr unit works great and took very little to install. Some of the kits are very involved and some tranny shops won't install them cause people complain that they screwed somthing up when they don't like the new shift patterns. My kit was way easy to install, drilling only two holes and replacing one spring. My car now shift alot firmer, not harsh, but you can tell a major difference. The kit costs $ 69.00! For about 600 bucks you can make your auto a fully manual/auto with the Art Carr manual/auto valve body.
