Default Anyone read the newspaper about how they STOPPED making 03 cobra due to glitches.read

In the newspaper today they stopped making 03 cobras due to "glitches" they would not talk about and i think it said the hp numbers were lower then said from ford. Also the 99 cobras were recalled cause ford was calling i believe 320 horse but they were 50 horses less due to the intake and exhaust set backs, i live in michigan so anyone else who does should have seen it in the newspaper today.

I have yet to see a Cobra dyno for less than Ford said. They all make more. Heard a rumor that they were trying to work out a vibration problem that occurs at speed. Don't know how much of that is true, and the Snake owners I've talked to didn't have any complaints.

Besides, I also heard they were already done with production this year.

Default Saw One at the Track

I was at the track last night and there was a new '03 Cobra and he was running very low 12's (12.11 I witnessed) at over 116 mph. The guy said all he had done to it was a new pulley and slicks. Doesn't sound like a power issue to me.

I read it. Go to Mustangworks home page and the have a write up about it. They have not said what it is about yet. They are not done with production yet.

A guy here in SC took his 03 Cobra to the drag strip. The first time he gets to the line to run it the transmission breaks. So it may be a recall on that.

I saw that same Cobra at the track and he does only have a pulley and slicks. Plus my friend just bought a 2003 Cobra. He called SVT and they didnt say what the problem was, but they said it was definately NOT the motor. They also never stopped production of the car.
