![]() I found a Cobra Engine with 28,000 miles for my 98. I need some info on dropping in the Engine. Is the wiring pretty much the same as the GT. What complications will I be facing? Is it worth the money and time? Where can i get info on the engine swapping of my 98 GT to 98 Cobra.

![]() You need headers, all the engine electrical, etc. You should be able to bolt up your trans, but be prepared to blow it if its the 5speed.

![]() What do you mean prepare to blow it, if its the 5 speed. My tranny is a 5 speed. Is that going to be a problem?

![]() The trans is the weak link in our cars. I've never seen anyone blow up the 8.8, but if you make big power with the cobra motor, you'll eventually need a TKO, if you hook real good.

![]() So how do i get around that and prevent that from happening? Doesn't the Cobra have the same tranny?
