Unhappy BBK intake question??

Hi, i own a 2003 Mustang GT 5spd.. i just recently purchased a BBK cold air intake kit (fender wall)#1718... after installing the kit i started the car and took it for a test run.. while i was driving i could here a siping noise like air being sipped into the car.. i went home and opened the hood and checked for leaks.. seemed to be fine.. i had my freind give gas while i was by the intake and all i here is the siping noise... is this normal? please let me know... (car is all stock) thanks.. Luch

I don't mean to sound like a jerk, but that's exactly why you put the CAI on.

You can actually, hear air going into the big hole in the front.

I had to heat wrap my c.a.i on my old 5.0 (bbk)cause it was more of a heater for the air going then anything and that made a diff. of a .1 in my old 87 and it drove better when air temps were over 80

thats perfectly normal to here it the increased air flow you are hearing if you want to take full advantage of the cai wrap the pipes in thermal film to keep all the heat out
