12.5 sec to 12.00
Hi all. I have a 2000 Coupe GT with auto trans. Only add-ons are a Bassani X-pipe, Nittor Drags, CAI, Eibach Pro springs and 100 Shot NOS Powershot Nitrous.
Best run @ 3ft above sea level (Moroso) was 12.59 @ 112.4 mph, 2.01 60ft. and 8.20 1/8 @ 88.8mph. Launching @ 1200 rpm and just leavig on drive w/ overdrie off. Question: From someone's experience, what would it take to get to 12.00 (in otherwords, shave of 0.5 sec)? What would 3.73's do? Chip?

Which type of stall should I get? Know of anyone with a quality part at a reasonable price? Also, this is my daily driver. Please recommend something that is streetable (I drive 70 miles five days a week). Thank you in advance.

At 112 MPH slicks and launching on the nitrous should get you damn close. the biggest thing i would work on is that 2.0 60'.

i would just get a small stall....something like 2200-2800, that way you can still drive it everyday.
if you get that 60' down, and hook the car you will probably drop a good 3-4 tenths off your 1/4 mile time |

Give Lentech Transmissions a call. They will set you up RIGHT. It is to much hassel to R&I the trans to do a half assed job and then have to do it over or add something else later just so it will handle the H.P. The AODE or later (newer) auto trans are to finicky to be just throwing some parts at. Do your homework and spend the money and do it right the first time. If you do not you WILL spend more money in the long run. Think about what you REALLY want the end result to be with the car. What are the real long term goals? Is it always going to be a daily driver, or is it headed in the direction of a track only car? If you HONESTLY answeer these questions then you will maximize your money without underspending or overspending.
