Default Update

I recently posted Thicker oil causing pinging or knocking. Well I got the car back from ford. And this is what they told me in writting..
Possible Rod Bearing or Wrist Pin, Need to dissamble........
I changed the oil as requested. So someone, anyone tell me how in the hell does a car that is a 2000 with +30,700 miles do this? I bought the car used and as its 2 months out of warrenty and a tad over 30,000 miles. Ford will not fix it for free. I have to pay to have the engine torn down and looked at. I even talked to a Ford Rep. The guy who works on my car owns his own speed shop and told me to call this guy and he will help me out. My guy has this guys engine sitting in his garage being worked on. Basically not in so many words, he says, well sorry, nothing I can do for you. So if anyone has any insight as to why my engine needs to be replaced, please feel free to let me know.
