Default Driveshaft

I was thinking of buying an Alumimum Driveshaft from Steeda...is it worth the money?

What exactly will it do for my 2000GT performance wise?

It won't do anything noticeable for you performance wise. You shouldn't need one unless you have recently added gears, causing driveline vibration. Or if you already have every other bolt-on and are dying to spend some money on your car. Theoretically, they increase the amount of hp put to the wheels by decreasing the rotating mass, but it's probably less than 1hp. Plus, I don't know the price of the Steeda ds, but it's probably overpriced just because of the name.

Ford Racing makes one too. comes complete with u joints and front sleeve. Kevlar driveshafts are the best, but more money.
Probably wont make much difference, but every little bit helps.

The one that Steeda sells is the one from ford Racing. I got mine from Steeda for $186.00 including shipping. I have seen them as cheap as $150 for the Ford Racing one. I bought mine from Steeda just because they have helped me so much in the past. They helped me over the phone with something that ford could not do in person. It takes about 20 mins to install. I am happy with one if you want it get it. No major gains but if you have gears most people say that it is good to get.
