VIN decoding
Hey everyone..just wanted to ask if there is a website that helps decode mustang VIN numbers. I purchased a Haynes Repair Manual that breaks down the VIN to show you the model year and engine size. The eighth digit(which says what motor you have) on my mustang is an "X" but Haynes did not have a listing for that. It says that "4" is the 3.8, "W" is 4.6 SOHC, "V" is 4.6 DOHC, "T" is 5.0 H.O., and "D" is the 5.0L Cobra. No "X" was listed? Any ideas?
Thank you!! |
