Tire size
Hello,
I have a 2001 GT and am thinking on putting new rims and tires on my care. I wanted to ask the experts here...if I got 18 inch rims: 1. What tire size is the largest I can put on the front and back? 2. If I got different rims and wanted the rears to be wider, what would be a good rim dimension? I guess I just want a beefier look to my car. Thanks in advance |

This should give you an idea of what you can fit:
http://www.tirerack.com/upgrade_gara...&autoYear=2001 Looks like 18x9.5 up front and 18x10.5 out back. In 17" I know American Racing makes an 11" wide Mustang specific Torque Thrust II that fits with 315/35/17s, but not sure if you could go quite that wide with an 18" wheel. They even give recommended tire sizes to go with the wheels.
