I agree. Get it done correctly by a shop. The dealership will be really high priced so I would look elsewhere. It cost me $200 labor to put my 3.73s in my 96. The Fordmotorsport gears were $159 and then you've gotta get the shims, fluid and friction modifier, and pinion bearings. A new crush sleeve should come with the gears.
