Default 248a

if i remember correctly, 248a is the option code for the car, not the engine... your car probably didnt have things like fog lights and power interior from the factory, but it is the same GT motor

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate your input, but my car has power seats, leather, and fog lights and appears to be faster than it should be. Someone else on here said that it probably has a 248a motor. I have never heard of such a thing. Im very familair with the 95 GTS strip model that had the GT drivetrain but Im not real familar with the 4.6 stuff.

Hey Hammer, How ya been? Do you know of any way to see if my car has the newer heads? I bought it used and it seems to be quicker than it should. Someone said to look at the crossover pipe in front of the alt but I cant find it. All I see is the black plastic upper. Any ideas? Im going to burn a chip off the dyno in a few weeks...I ll post the #'s.

sorry for the confusion, i said, "it may be a 248a" meaning the stripper pakage from the factory. ie v6 interior, no fog lights, 16"rims.....

I wish there was more beef to the motor.

Maybe it's a freak...I'd love if my car could suddenly turned into a ginormous power machine.
