01 Cobra Blower?
My buddy has a 01 Cobra. He wants a blower but is stuck between a ProCharger P-1SC Stage II w/ 3-Core Intercooler $3800(polished) and a Vortech E-Trim $4700 (polished). We have read about the problems with the procharger inlet tube but thats not a big deal he just wants to know if its worth the extra $900 to get an E-trim over the intercooler P-1SC. I dont see many 01 Cobra owners with the E-trim but see a few with the ProCharger so if anyone has either and has some dyno numbers of theirs or stories could you please share? We are right now leaning to the procharger because it seems to be a solid piece and its intercooled and will save him some money. Thanks everyone your help really makes it easier to choose what to get without thinking "did I make a mistake on that part"

Ha hammer...I think you're a little biased. I've heard both are good units. Vortech has a really good service department, too.

You can still do it with an '03 Kenne bell. But the day I posted that I heard that they dropped it. So oh well.

I know it sucks. All three different DOHC 4.6 heads are different, and you would need a new hood. I've got a friend who's been waiting since his car was bought (brand new too) for KB to come through.

In my opinion, prochargers are not the way to go. The P1SC is not there best product. We all know what makes power. Air and Fuel!! Simple. The P1SC doesnt move enough cfm's to make it overly efficient. I had a friend that upgraded from a P1 to D1 and he still isn't getting close to the same performance or numbers that I am getting out of my paxton Novi 2000. Vortech over procharger any day of the week. Paxton Novi 2000 is quite a blower. I made a pulley change (1 size smaller) and I picked up 75rwhp. Vortech and paxton are the same company now and Vortech has some great blowers. Buy a paxton and you will thank me later. Guaranteed!
