Default Superchip tuner question

Can it be used for more then one car? I.E. On a show I was watching they bought the superchip tuner and they said it can only be used on the car they were working on so you cant go give it to your buddy to use with the same car, seems strange to me cause there selling them on ebay used.....Did I mis-hear something?

I believe it would have to be the same car with the same computer code. My 98 Gt has a different computer code than my buddies, go figure. But if he had the same code we could switch out.

Look into Superchips custom tuning. They had Jerry W. from Fordchip and I believe C. Johnson from JMS help design the program. It seems to be the best tuning software out there right now. I hope to get dyno tuned by them in 2004, and I'll probably buy their racer's package software for may car.

I would think that you can re-set the tuner to start from a blank setup. That way you could switch cars, but you'd lose any saved data. That would be why they say they are single car pieces.

...and no, I'm not being a smarta$$ here.
