Default Intake Spacer

I found an intake spacer on the web on sale for $35.00. It's new in the box from someone I have bought from in the past. Are these things supposed to work? I understand that they increase the speed of the air. Does anyone have any thoughts or experience? Or is this one of those "feel good" bolt on items that are cheap and no one really knows if they help.

Thanks!

Not going to help. I paid $10 bucks for one on E-bay back when I was bored and looking for anything to do to the car. If that is all you want then lok on e-bay for a cheaper one. If you are looking for more HP than save your money.
