Default Clutch

I think my clutch is starting to become worn. I pressed it in today and heard a squeeking noise coming fromm under the hood. It not sure if it is the clutch doing that but it only happend when it is pushed in. So if it is starting to go I guess my next mod will be an aftermarket clutch. Can anybody suggest a good one and where I can get it? Thanks

With a 2003, you should not be having problems with your clutch. Check with the dealer about warranty information. With your listed mods, you would find a much bigger impact on other mods than an aftermarket clutch.

First, if the noise is originating from the hood, it's not the clutch. A bad clutch will either cause grinding of gears or a bad shift- when you push the clutch in, the engine will over rev, etc.my clutch went out @ 40,000 miles on an 00 gt and I got a ford racing clutch put in place. best decison i ever made and worth the money.

A squeeking noise can be caused by the throwout bearing, but this is generally when the clutch is NOT pushed in.

i know what you mean. i have an 02 Gt and the clutch is almost juke. i need to put a new one in, but haven't decided on which one. leaning more towards the ford racing and flywheel. i feel the stock clutch ford uses is junk.
