Default 1st - 2nd grind info

Some Good Info

I'm still reading up on it, but I know there are a few of us dealing with this right now. So I hope it helps.

im having the exact same problem with my 97 gt stock transmission... only it can pretty much grind any gears when cold if you shift too fast. it runs perfect when its warmed up (15 min of highway driving). what transmission fluid would you guys reccomend, hands down, and should i only put a certain amount like the tremec site says, or should i fill till it overflows?

also, this will only improve the grinding slightly right, not necissarily remove it entirely?

Good find. I'll pass that on to customers.

I had a major problem with the 1st to 2nd grind in my 96 Cobra. I had the fluid replace with mobil 1 full synthetic and it made an incredible difference. I also changed the shifter out to a steeda tri ax later, but the fluid change made much more of a difference than the shifter. Dont know if that helps or not... It made such a difference that even though my new bullitt hasnt had that problem I am going to change the transmission fluid anyways....
