Default timing

i should be recieving my long tube headers, high flow cats and h-pipe within 2 weeks .. i've been reading that when i install these, i should advance the timing a degree as well ... is this recommended? if so, how would i do that?

To advance timing you either need a timing adjuster from places like Steeda or UPR or you need a chip or hand held programmer like the Diablosport predator. The Predator is more expensive but is WELL WORTH IT!!

i think im going to go with teh timing adjuster for now, and deal with the chip or flash programmer later .. could i wait a while to put in the adjuster? or should i just do it while i do the headers? money is a concern and i just blew my load on the headers and h pipe ... i dont have to raise the engine for this, right? sorry if its a dumb question, im still learning a lot about this ...

You will either need to jack up the passenger side of the motor or pull your K-member to install the longtubes.

MY buddy put LTs on his and never adjusted the timing and he never had problems. So I would say yes you can wait.
