Airbag Idiot Light

I am curious if anyone is familiar with the idiot light for the airbag in an 01 Gt. I have recently had my car insected at a NJ State Inspection Station, and they just hook up to the data port inside the car. I noticed after I left the station (It passed by the way) my warning light for the Airbag was blinking. It had never done this prior to the inspection. I turned the car off, let it sit for a second, then turned it back on, and it went away. The next time I started the car up, the warning light came on a stayed on without flashing. Now, it is either always on or it flashes in the following pattern: Three, pause; Two, pause. Anyone have any idea what is going on? The car new to me, but no longer under warranty, so hopefully it is an easy fix. Any help is appreciated.
