98 Gt -- Boggs On Acceleration
Hey I have a 98GT 5spd that Boggs on acceleration. I've a 6 year old Bassani Xpipe with hi-flow cats. Oh Yeah I'm also running 2-chamber flows with dumps.
Everytime I step on it I get hesitation. it sounds like something burping under my car Once I get over 50mph everything seem to smooth out at crusing speeds on the highway. I was thinking bad convertors on my X-PIPE let me know what you guys thinks Thanks

Does your check engine light come on? Could be a problem with your O2 sensors not reading the mixture right.
Otherwise, I'd be willing to bet on fuel injectors. |

well Treedstang, the only way i heard of how to do it was to take it off and beat it with a hammer. basically clean it out completely. or just not have them at all. well i guess it depends if your state has emissions testing.but mine does not. so you can get away with it here.

Re: 98 Gt -- Boggs On Acceleration
Almost forgot. Since you have the world's biggest pos plastic intake, that might also be an issue. If the intake is cracked and is pulling air from outside that the MAF isn't reading, it could cause a lean condition that would result in a bog and backfire.

hey unit 5302, yeah they are prone to have cracks, but they make an aftermarket one that is reinforced and the water inlet is made of aluminum now.
