Default No mechanic needed?

Im trying to smooth out the idle and im reading a lot of message boards that say mustang gt's have problems with the iac getting dirty. everyone is saying skip the mechanic and dont replace it just stop by a store and get some carb cleaner and spray and wipe the plenum out and then clean out the iac. anyone know anything about doing this? where exactly is the iac on an 02 gt located, picture of it? how do you clean it out? q tip? then start the car up and revving it will clean it out and also driving kinda hard to burn off the excess carb cleaner?
