Oil Cooler Leak
I have a 1999 Cobra 4.6 DOHC. The oil cooler that the oil filter screws onto is leaking oil out a small that seems to be a drain hole. Is there a seal that has blown or do I have to replace the oil cooler?

Re: Oil Cooler Leak
It sounds like you have a plug missing, or something of the sort. Can you supply a picture of where it is leaking? I know the piece you are talking about, and there is a threaded plug that goes into the bottom of that. It would be interesting to see if that is the problem, or if the leak is coming from somewhere else, and just dripping on to your cooler.
Have you ran anything over, like a curb, tree limb, etc.? Been behind a dump truck spilling rocks? Where are you located? If any where near me, you can stop by the shop and I'll be glad to look at it for you. Anyway, I hope this helps. Later.
