Default mac headers

i just bought a set of mac ceramic headers for my 01 since then i have heard bad things about them hurting the engine i dont see how that cam happen but i thought i would ask. should i return them or will thay be ok to run. i bought mac because thay were easy to get is there a better header.

Ok, I'm not going to be a smartazz about this, but who ever said that should be hit with a shovel. Not only does that not make sense, it's just plain silly. MAC makes great exhaust product, as does many other companies. Tell that guy to go jump off a bridge or something.

I guess years ago Mac had a problem with slag from the welds getting in to the egr system and scoring the cylinders but the problem has been corrected I guess I should have called Mac first thanks anyways

First I have never heard of that. I agree that it is possible for the slag to get in there and mess things up, but that is not limited to just MAC. I wouldn't worry about it.

You are correct about prior problems with the quality of MAC headers. They used to have alot of problems with welds at the flanges. I would probably say that MAC has corrected that problem...don't worry about it.

i just finshied the install i should have droped the k member in stead of lifting the engine wont do the again. lol. it sure runs and sounds good
