Default egr question

i have a 96 gt and am sick of having to clean the tar and crap out of my plenum from the egr i know they make the eliminators for older mustangs but never seen for mine can the egr be eliminated from my car if i do it what might happen?

Yeah a few company's make egr delete plates for them. You'll get a check engine light if you delete it though and this will have to be turned off by a chip/tune.
