Rear Gear Change & Speedo Adjustment
I have a 2000 GT I put 3.90 gears in. I have since used a Superchips tuner to reset my speedo for the change in gearing (among other things) and recently I had to take the car into the shop at the Ford dealership. Before I did so I reset the tuning in the car back to the saved stock program in the tuner, as were the instructions, and this set the speedo back to the stock setting also. I have been told that I may only reset the speedo 3 times and then the instrument cluster locks up and no longer works. IS THIS TRUE?
