Question winter rims

I'm looking to take the pony wheels (16") off my 96 GT for the winter. I'm looking to get a set of those cheap steel rims and put some winter tires on them. My question is, will a 15" rim fit on a 96 GT? The reason I ask is because it's cheaper for 15" snow tires. Thanks for the help.

Yes, a 15 inch rim will fit fine. God help you, becareful while driving a stang in the snow, its hard enough when the roads are just wet!!!
