Nittos at track today
I did horribly today. I didn't do enough of a burnout and continually spun off the line. I also had them at 25 psi. My quickest 60' was 2.071 in 80 degree weather. The last run (mid 50s) I used 18 psi and roasted them pretty good and got 2.109. I need more practice with the drag radials because on street radials my 60' were about the same or slightly better.
Also, I think that the shift between 2-3 is too late at 5500-5700. It feels like it's not pulling anymore at this point. Time to get it on the dyno and rechipped. I had almost the same results with my Nitto's my first time at the track. Maybe when some of the newness wears off they'll hook better.

I hope that you guys are right. I haven't gotten any better than 2.10 out of mine either and their starting to show quite a bit of wear.

The next time out, I would roast them pretty good on the first burnout. Once the newness wears off of them, you should be able to see a difference.

I have finally started getting decent 60' times (1.9x) on my nittos. I finally tried airing them down to 12psi, roasting the piss out of 'em, and launching at 2400 rpm.
Mine are down to the wear bars in the center... Wish I would have figured out how to launch on them sooner ------------------ 90LX Not nearly fast enough... |
