Cool Jet Power Module

Hey everyone have anyone of you guys ever tried or knew someone who has used the JET Module on their Stangs? So far I'm impressed
I notice a big differance after acouple days of driving with it. Yesterday I was coming home and I just felt like punchin it and when
I hit 2nd, the Stallion let off a h@!! of a Bark. I was going sideways at about a 45 degree angle up the road for about 2 seconds.
I also notice alot more low end Power

Thumbs up

I'm not familiar with it - is it a chip? It's cool that it's working for you.

No it's not from Saleen. I ordered it from Summit and the company name of the chip is Jones Electronics Technology. I got for $230, and it does make a noticable differance in performance. It took a few days of driving with it but the power just kept increasing. It's not real noticeable at first, but it will wake-up

The first guy I saw run 12s with just bolt ons, on street tires, in a 96 Cobra had a JET chip. I'm glad yours worked out for you. You gotta be careful with mail order chips, sometimes they work just fine, other times they don't do anything or even worse.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But I am glad it did work. Hey can anyone give a guesstamation on how much HP I might have. I know it's hard to say but I was thinking maybe the ball park of 250-260 RwHP.

Well, I didn't know BBK made an X-pipe. But is it with cats, or off road? Since the stock cat back is actually pretty good, the after market mufflers give little at best. The CAI is a throw up... But since the JET has made a significant difference... I won't guess but, here:

Stock 99-2000 GTs typically dyno at about 225-230ish rwhp. If you figure a 15% loss for a manual drive train then that's roughly 265-270 SAE net hp. Some what better then their rated numbers. Some do better, so do worse, but with your bolt ons I would guestimate 280 hp???

The only real way is to run it on a track and look at the ET and trap MPH. From there you taking into account temp and humidity you can get a pretty good idea of hp.

Thanks Snake, I found a Dyno place down here and they charge around $45 for 2 pulls and I think $65 or $75 for three. Is it better to 2 or 3 and is that a good price for a Dyno?

2 pulls for $45 isn't bad. To just satisfy curiousity and not for any particular tuning efforts I would think 2 pulls would be fine, unless they are significantly different.

Definitely do the extra pulls. My car dyno'd higher on every pull. As the oil heats up to optimum temperature, it works better.

I would bet you're car will dyno around 265-270rwhp from others I have seen. Let us know..

I've heard that chips only work on automatics and was wondering if you had a standard and were getting results. Is your GT an automatic?

Nah, the Stang is manual. And the results are preety cool. I let a friend of drive my car and the only thing that was new on the car was the Chip. I told him to get up on it, and when he hit it all that came out of his mouth was Sh@! The Stang pulled hard and when he even hit second the Stang was Shaken it's rear pretty good. It felt so diffrent be in the passenger seat and feeling the Stallion pull like that. Now he wants a new 99 - 2001 Gt, Because it's so much faster than he's 95 Gt. So I know it's not just my Imagination. Thanks for the advice about the Dyno
(Also I know this isn't a ? About Module engines, how do you post Sound to the user ride sound box because I tried many time and it won't accept it and my file is a Wave.)Don't worry about answering if aren't suppose to but if you I will be very greatful.
