Post new heads

so to swap heads from a 96 GT, since they suck, it would require a whole ton of work ive realized...... but would it be WORTH IT to do a head swap eventually? and if so, what do you suggest?

IMO, you should just try to find a real low milage wrecked 99+ GT and snag the motor. The head swap takes 20+ hours of labor, so why not just drop in a newer engine and trans for close to the same money in labor. A guy in my club got a 99GT motor and trans w/ 5000 miles for only $900, so the deals are out there, but you just have to be lucky enough to find them I guess.

1997 Thunderbird 4.6L: Dynomax exhaust, Lightning 80mm MAF with 7" powerstack cone filter, B&M 24,000GVW trans cooler, Inject-Tech chip, KVR Brake upgrade. 15.2 @ 91. Not bad for a 3800lb auto 4.6L

Cool

That's a very good option otherwise.

But adding the 99 heads will up compression also, contributing to the increase in hp.

I think it's an ideal way to get started on getting your restrictive induction to breathe deeper and better.

Heads and a better intake will net you 50-70 hp and if you add forced induction ???? the numbers look a lot better.
