What do you drive? I would say gears should do it. Put you at least at 8.9's or lower.

There you go. Look at Bills times. Shows whats possible with a good suspensin and an even better driver.
BTW Bill, I read you are thinking of going the Cobra route. If you do, good luck with that. |

Get you 60' time lower (around 2.0-2.15) and you should do.
To do so, try a brake torque. If you simply jam the gas and you don't break your tire loose, then try giving a litle gas while you're applying the brakes. Then when the lights turn green lift of the brakes and jam the gas. The idea is to raise you're rpm's for your launch. Hope this helps. |

I run 8.4's in 1/8 with stock rearend and suspension. Get tires to help lower your sixtyfoot then play with launch and shift rpm till you find right combination.
EDIT: Not sure if you have traction control if a newer car but make sure its turned off. ------------------ My '00 GT 2000 GT Laser red-5speed,MAC Cold Air, MAC 2 1/2" Cat-Back, 3.27gears, Pro-5.0 shifter, Weld Draglite's 15x5 and 15x10, 275/50-15 DragT/A's, 165R15 front, BBK Underdrive pullies, BBK offroad X-pipe with Dynomax super converters Best Quarter mile run to date: 13.296@101.99(9-9-01) Best MPH 102.42(9-9-01) Best 60' 1.844sec. If you're serious,
You'll want to go with a shift kit, stall converter, drag radials, and 3.73s or 4.10s. There's a good auto tranny tune article in MM&FF this month. You might want to check it out... ------------------ Adam "Hammer" Packett: Moderator, Gulf War Veteran Holy Moses...
