Default 87LK hatch or 99-2002GT

Im thinking of buying a newer GT. what would you guys do would you buy the newer GT and put the 87 on the back burner for awhile or put the money into the 87 and make it an all around street car. because if I get the newer GT the 87 will in time become a drag only car with driving on the streets very few and far between.

I was a little bit in your situation. I bought the new car. Can't say I regret it too much. The biggest factor is that I didn't want to dump a ton of money into the 87GT that I'd never get back out of it, and I didn't have a second car for when I had to work on the 87.

I'm getting totally HOSED on insurance right now. My car payment, insurance, and down payment could have made my 87GT an 11 second street car.

If you don't mind me asking Unit what is the your combined payout a month?

For insurance and car payment, I'm paying about 530 bucks a month, that was with a 5,000 down payment

I'm at $700 with $4000 down. I haven't sold the 87GT yet, and I plan on applying those funds to the 02GT. When I do apply the money (in about 6mo) I hope my credit rating will be a lot better, that should drop my payments way down. I'm shopping for insurance, but they seem to like keeping bankers hours. I plan to have the car paid off in under 3 years.

The suburbs of Minneapolis is one of the worst places imaginable to insure a car.

"Call Survival Now, Any Car any driver"

hahaha
1800-survival.

I only pay 380/year with 3 tickets. But it is not full coverage.
