New et 11.87
Tempature was 80% and Humidity was 92%. We were sweating to death.
I made a few passes myself, but with the night running out, I wanted an experienced driver behind the wheel. My buddy ian (High PSI) was happy to oblige. He made 2 passes, unfortunately, the first pass, he missed the 1-2 shift, (tremec is still notchy). So, he ran a 12.43, the impressive thing was a 60' of 1.58. He ran 114 mph, same as i had done on street tires. He felt confident the car would do an 11. Everyone said the mph wouldn't let him. Well, he still got 114, but check out the slip! And, he still babied the 1st to 2nd. It only got better, a 1.571 60', not too shabby! I put the slicks at 10.5 hot after the last pass I made, the car seemed to be good there, so we left it for both of his runs. He still blew the tires away on the launch, but the cobra loves the rpm's and still killed the 60's. It's just nice to see all the time and money pay off. On a nicer night with some good air, I think we could get an 11.7 or 11.6 out of the car! |
