Blowing a 98 Cobra
If you have a Stock 5-speed 1998 Cobra and you put an 8lb or 10lb Vortech Supercharger on it. (I think the silent one) will the heads, intake, and rear 3.08 gears be able to handle it. If not which of them needs to be changed. Thanks

I think it would handle it, but 10 psi of boost would be pushing it. A 6-8 psi blower would make awesome power on a 98 cobra and the drive train would hold up, unless you were doing high rpm launches on slicks.
One thing is foe sure, ablown cobra of any year is a bad mofo.

Those parts will hold up just fine. A weak point may be your tranny, but that should still hold up for a little while.
With a good fuel system and tune, a Cobra can handle 10-12+lbs with no problems at all. |
