BBK cold air kit
I recently installed a BBk cold air fenderwell kit. After I installed the new kit I started to have problems. It idled just fine but, when I would step on the gas it would hesitate big time. It went away as RPM's went up. Is this because I removed the wire mesh screen? Put stock back on and it did go away. I thought my Diablo chip should of taken care of it. Stock MAF on a 2002 GT.

It is most likely because you removed the screen. You'll lose a lot of driveability by doing that. The only other thing is that there could be a vacuum leak. Inspect the air inlet and make sure there are no leak otherwise the car will run badly.
