Unhappy Disappointment @ the track

This is very painful, but I know I have to share.

I went to Atco Raceway Friday night, I only got one run cause it was packed! Not only did I get a terrible ET, I also got a cold from standing out in the cold in a t-shirt and shorts. Here It is:

R/T --- .530
60' --- 3.035
330 --- 7.099
1/8 --- 10.440
mph --- 74.8
990 --- 13.240
1/4 --- 15.733
mph --- 93.10

spun out real bad in 1st. any comments, questions, feel the need to laugh?

Actually, If you take into account the bad 3 second 60 foot, your numbers are about right for a lightly modded early 4.6 with an average driver.

2.2 60s are about average with street tires, that's .8 secs subtracted from your time.... and that breaks you into the 14.9s...

Keep plugging away with practice and mods... you'll get there...

1 run? Thats horrible, I would be so pissed. Get there on a Sat or Sun for bracket racing and you should get at least 4 runs, more if you win.
If you really want to get a lot of runs, Englishtown has Trophy Marathons every so often, and you'll get 8 runs there: 3 trial runs, 5 bracket race runs. Win all five, you go to the king of the hill race.
Your car is easily a high 14 sec car on street ties, maybe mid 14's with drag radials. Just practice your launch.
Edit: Just talked to a friend who was there Friday night and she had a 2.8 60ft time in her Integra, so maybe the track wasn't prepped at all.

Yeah your problems definitley lie within your 60 ft. ET. I had a 2.21 short time (w/ crappy Dunlops) with my best run and your car is faster than mine. Your run was fine though (Except the launch) because your trap speed of 93 MPH is where it should be. A 15.7 ET and 93 MPH trap speed is indicative of lots of tire spin. I'd say you should be able to run a 14.7@94 pretty easily. I was disappointed when I couldn't break out of the 15's when I went to the strip. BTW, what kind of tires did you run and did you do a burnout. This will help your traction problems.

some good goodyear make i think, i cant remember, i will check. I used to have nice g-force t/a's (KDW) but i uhh.....popped them when i slammed into a curb fishtailing and knocked a few rims off the axles....yah....im pretty sure the goodyears? are the equivalent to the g-force, whatever they may be.

Yeah I have G-Force KDWS's which are my winter tires. I had some Goodyears and I couldn't get them to hook up very well. That may be your problem.

I have horrible, skinnny, hard, all weather Continental 215/70/15's and I can still pull 2.2-2.3 60ft's. You should easily match that on a tire with any bit of performance design. You just have to practice with what you have.
The track must have been really bad that night, because like I said before, my friend pulled a 2.8 60ft in her weak Integra. I heard there were tons of street cars, so you could have had a lot of people pulling up to the line and having water drip out of their tread onto the track. Don't be dissapointed, you have a 14 sec car, so there is nothing to worry about.
