Thanks for the help. Actually the tire shop said they did it dropping the cones on the tire mounting machine not removing the center caps like I had suspected. They offered to buy 2 new rims for me so I'm going to take them up on it and buy 2 more so I'll have 4 new wheels to go with my 4 new tires.
