Default 4.6 Performance

I have aquired aa 1994 T-Bird with a 4.6L. I want to do some engine changes to it because I plan to keep it. I want some more power out of it and I plan on pulling the engine within the next year. Couple of questions. Is their any aftermarket intakes I can put on it and will a Mustang 4.6 fit in place of the engine I have. I ask this because I se where everyone sells Hi-Po Mustang engines but they never say anything about the T-bird. Any help would be appreciated.

Swing on over the the TCCoA and we'll get you all straightened out.
Thunderbird and Cougar Club of America
Your engine and trans are essentially the same as a 96-97 Mustang. The main difference is your intake manifold. In fact, 96-97 T-bird intake manifolds were the exact same as the Mustang. Many aftermarket parts will bolt right on, and others will fit with slight modification. We have guys in our club with engines from cars such as '96-03 Mustang, '02 Explorer, 96-98 Cobra's, etc. 160 rear wheel horsepower to well beyond 500. The sky's the limit...ok, really your wallet is the limit
I post under "Jack K." I'll look for you over there.
