MM Subframe Installation, Is carpet removal required???
I want to install MM full length subframe conecters in my 2001 GT and I'm wondering if I need to remove my interior prior to welding them in so I don't burn up the carpet. I know that mig welding, on sheetmetal, doesnt run extremly hot, however I don't want to smoke my rug. Has anyone installed these? What do you think? Thanks guys...

I removed my seats and rolled the carpet over the console and taped it to hold it in place. There was smoke and stood by with a spray bottle of water to put out the fires from the seam sealer on the floors. Have someone sit in the car with the bottle of water while you weld. There was smoke galore. RAY
