Anyone have any experience with the pistol grip shifter knobs..they look cool, but are they comfortable? any recommendations?

Don't get a pistol grip. It slows your shifting down. You need to shift with your wrist not your arm.

As far as shift knobs go "Fat Knobs" are about the best feeling you can get.

I agree with Tireburner, I've got a Fat Nob (eeeks, don't even think that!) and it is great, Perfect fit, finish and feel. Just type carefully when you try to go to their web site, you never know where you can land with a name like that!
