Exclamation 98 gt rear end

i have found a low mileage (49,000) 98 gt...everything is damn near perfect. one problem. when starting off and making a turn at the same time, i hear a slight poping in the rear end....how normal is this, and if its not, how expensive is it to fix?

DON'T BUY IT! There are many other GT's out there that are in much better shape just waiting to be bought. This sound could be due to a variety of things such as bent axle(s), broken posi, bad gear lube, or a deformed differential housing. This would be pretty expenisve to fix and if the rear end is screwed up the car was probably beat on a lot or in a wreck.

Cool

Broken spider gears it sounds like. About $60 for the parts. Might be other stuff wrong with it, though. If they are broke in that mustang I'd bet he beat on it alot.
