chips anyone?
I have an 03 gt, and I'm going to be putting 3.73's in it, I was told I need to buy a chip to fix the speedo, and milage once the gears are in... I have no idea what anyone is using, its a daily driver, I go to the track every so often. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful.....

If you had an automatic it would be more worth it to pay the price to get a chip as the computer controls the tranny. I have a 5-speed and got the SpeedCal as well.

If you go with a chip i don't think they come pre programmed for that,i have a diablo chip and i still use a speed calibrator. They would probably have to program that specially for your car.

The Speedcal should work with your '03. But if you already planned on getting a chip then you might as well just get it programmed for the gears and bump your timing to 14 degrees while you're at it.

I'm not sure if the '03 models are any different, but i bought a superchips power programmer for mine. This allowed me to recalibrate my speedometer, change the computer programming, adjust thermostat controls, speed-limiter, etc. The speed calibrater was going to run $150, i picked the programmer up on Ebay for $225.
