Doin the old engine swap!!
Okay guys, I'm finaly going to do it, I'm swapping engines. I currently have the 3.8 V6 and I'm going to swap to the 4.6 V8 cobra engine. I've already found the engine clutch, tranny, flywheel, and 8.8 rear. I'm looking into what computer chip to go with. Do you guys have any tips, I've never done a swap before. I'm not doing this myself, I'm having a local shop do it, but I'm going to get almost all the parts myslef. Any help or suggestions you guys can give me would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. I'm not going to sell my car and by a cobra cause I already have a body kit, tints, new spoiler, kicken system, dynomat, and am too in love with my car to part with it...I know I could transfer all this stuff but it's too much hassal.

Go to www.stangparts.com. I think they can help you with finding a computer and any other parts you might need for the swap. Just outta curiosity, how much is the shop charging for the swap. I might switch to a 4V Cobra engine myself.
