Post Exhaust

I have an '01 GT Conv. with a stock exhaust system except for 2 chamber flowmasters. I would like to add an H or X pipe but i don't want all of the added noise that comes with it. My question is will using an h or x pipe with hi-flow cats be a good solution? I wouldn't mind it being a little bit louder but at the same time i still want to be able to have a normal conversation with other occupants.

If it gets too loud, get a quieter muffler.
